The Challenge: To create an AR demo for Magic The Gathering showing the different AR capabilities that Ricoh could provide: AR Video (Holotwin), Image Tracked Video, AR 360° Portal, & AR 3D Object.
The Process/Solution: I used an online card maker (www.mtgcardsmith) and took some existing cards and remade them with new art (except for Lost Mine of Phandelver which is the existing card) and added a QR code to scan. For the Bloodied Ghost & Ice Dragon cards, I used Midjourney ai to create the art (since this was just a demo, not a paid engagement). For Castle Embereth, I used a frame from the stock video since it is used as the marker for the AR experience. The AR experiences were built with different stock items, combining from different sources, such as adding sound and music to the videos and 3D dragon.
To view the AR experiences, scan the QR codes with your phone and follow the instructions (or use the direct links to the AR experiences below the cards, but you'll still have to use your phone to view them).
