The Challenge: Create an customizable thumbnail template system for Market Direct Storefront websites so that we could offer design services for customers. The built in thumbnails are outdated, in various different styles, and obviously aren't customized with the customer's logo and colors.
The Process/Solution: This template system began as a small number of thumbnails but has grown each time a customer needs thumbnails that need to be created. The templates are setup where the colors and logo can be swapped out. The library continues to grow. Below is an example of a stapled booklet thumbnail, shown customized for different customers. The first frame with the gray color and LOGO circle is the template, unmodified.
Below are some examples of how they look on the front pages of different customers' MDSF sites. These are typically categories, with further subcategories below. Some customers do put products on the front page, where you see the actual item instead of a stylized thumbnail.
