The Challenge: Create a set of demos to show how AR could be incorporated into print products
The Process/Solution: The goal of the original set of cards here was to demonstrate ideas for applying AR technology with DDM brands. I used existing magazines and mocked up adding a QR code for different AR experiences (People is the exception, the whole cover is a mockup). Afterward, I created generic magazine covers to be able to demonstrate the same experiences for any prospective customer moving forward. The People cover leads to a 360° experience from the red carpet at the Oscars. The Parents cover demonstrates a Holo-Twin (AR video) experience. The Better Homes & Gardens cover demonstrates the use of 3D models in AR. The Entertainment Weekly cover demonstrates AR image tracking where after scanning the QR code, you scan the cover for a video overlay.
