The Challenge: Convert print layouts into interactive layouts in our iPad edition.
The Process/Solution: The print features were completed first, then we would create the interactive features for the iPad version of the magazine. I really enjoyed finding different ways to create interest/interactivity in what started out as print features. Some used pseudo 3D where you could tilt the tablet and different layers would scroll at different speeds to create a 3D effect (Northern Beauty) to quizzes (Italy Awaits) and more. Unfortunately, my capability to capture these features was limited so there is no sound and I couldn't show any of the external media. The app is no longer in the app store so these are the only demonstrations of the interactive versions that I have.
