The Challenge: Create a visually interesting layout for the story, then carry it over into the interactive version.
The Process/Solution: Used a stylized compass to the opener to add character and carried it throughout. This feature really demonstrates how much more space we had to play around with in the interactive version. In print, the entire story fits on two spreads, really one page. I was able to really expand it in the tablet edition. Unfortunately, I don't have a live capture of the interactive version, but do have some screen captures. The last page was an interactive map.​​​​​​​
